Drive to Portland to check out a local microbrewery - Pyramid Breweries (formerly Portland Brewing Co.) - the first in Portland and home of MacTarnahans. We arrive at happy hour and get large amounts of cheap food and beer. Along with MacTarnahans ale, they have an amazing Thunderhead IPA, a selection of wheats (Honey Weizen, Apricot Weizen, Amber Weizen), and a thick Porter. One more stop through downtown Portland and the Rogue distillery to pick up some special Rogue malt liquor and barleywine before heading off for Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming.
